Amy Goes Missing: Chapter 2

page 11: where we left off
Sonic: Eggman.
Eggman: You didn't really think that it would be that easy taking my Chaos Emerald from me did you?
Sonic: Well yeah, I did. But, seeing that you actually hid the emerald this time...
Eggman: Nice try Sonic. But your little trick wont work. I know you have it and you wont be leaving here until it's in my hands once again!
Sonic: Bu-
(Before Sonic could finish his thought, the lights sprung back to life revealing rows of robots encircling Sonic with guns and missiles armed and ready to fire.)
Eggman: In fact, you wont be leaving here at all. Kill him.

Page 12:
(Widow had a front row seat to witness the fight. She was still in the air duct with the warm glow of the emerald hidden behind her coat.)
Dark-Ring: Widow its time to go back to G.U.N. Get out of there while the Doctor still thinks the blue guy has the emerald.
Widow: You guys go ahead. I'll catch up after I watch this fight.
Dark-Ring: Just make sure you don't lose that emerald, and I want you back at the base in 1 hour. That's an order.
Widow: Understood.
(Widow continued to gaze upon the young hedgehog.)
Widow thinks: I know I've seen him somewhere before. Why is it that I just cant leave him here?
(Then all the robots opened fire at Sonic and in a flash, he dodged each shot destroying 10 of the 100 robots in the process. Widow was astonished at Sonic's level of speed and accuracy. Her eyes were glued to the scene; quietly studying the attack pattern of the speedy wonder.)

Page 13:
(Sonic stood upon a pile of trashed robots and he happily said)
Sonic: Is that all you got Eggman? I swear these robots are easier to destroy than the last batch!
Eggman: You wont be smiling for very long my little friend.
(One of the Robots took Sonic for surprise, clasping him from behind with a deathly grip. Sonic tried to free himself, but it was to no avail.)
Eggman: HAHAHA!
(All the robots gathered around Sonic, guns aimed and ready to kill their master's nemesis.)
Eggman: Things will get a little easier now that you'll be outta my hair. Any last wishes before I send you to Oblivion?
(Sonic sent Eggman a dark stare and then he noticed something that shocked him. From the glare of a robot's red plated armor he saw a girl, aiming an arrow straight at the robot.)

Page 14:
(Widow set the arrow free with its coarse predetermined. It ricochet off the armor and hit the weak point of the robot that held Sonic captive. Now free, he built up speed and did a triple homing attack killing off three more. Widow nodded with the knowledge that Sonic had the upper hand. She proceeded to leave like her boss had ordered, but it appeared that she'd been sloppy. Eggman had pinpointed her location in the air duct with ease. He commanded the closest Omega to shoot at the air vent and bring it down. Widow was caught off guard by the sudden blast and was sent tumbling to the floor with it.)
Eggman: You little brat! Sonic would be dead right now if it wasn't for you!
(The dust cleared to show Widow rubbing her head. But Eggman's eyes were focused elsewhere. On the ground a few feet away from Widow, there was the unmistakeable shine of a Chaos Emerald.)
Widow: Ouch! That hurt.
Eggman: That's the last straw. Omegas, I want you to bring me that girl alive!

Page 15:
(Widow made the decision to go after the Chaos Emerald despite the danger. She dove at it while robots were circling around her, blocking her exit. She picked herself off of the floor and frantically looked for any possible escape routes but none were found. She knew she was in trouble, still she held her ground.)
Eggman: You may as well give up. Your completely surrounded. But I'll give you a choice. Give up the Chaos Emerald, or die.
(Widow merely smiled at the empty threat.)
Widow: If you think I'm going to back down from an Egg-head like you just because of some metal toys, then you've got another thing coming.
Eggman: Very well. Fire all weapons!
(The robots began powering up their weapons but Widow seemed to bask in the danger that was to come. Right as the Robots opened fire, Widow copied Sonic's movement and released a homing attack of her own.)
Eggman: What is this?! Sonic's the only one who can use that move!

Page 16: With Tails 
(Tails has just finished destroying the last of the robots)
Tails: That takes care of that. Now whats keeping Sonic? It doesn't normally take him this long to defeat Eggman.
(Then Tails was startled by a huge explosion coming from the center of the base.)
Tails: Sonic...there is such a thing as over kill ya know.

Page 17: With Sonic
(Widow felt a surge of energy jet through her body coming from the Chaos Emerald. The power it gave her was too much for her to control and she smashed into the super computer which had caused the explosion. She fell unconscious from the blast and Sonic wasted no time recovering her body. He scooped her in his arms and made a speedy get away from the rupturing laboratory. He ran deep into a near by forest to check if the girl who had saved his life was ok. He gently set her down and said)
Sonic: Man, that was a close call. Are you ok?
(But Sonic had been in such a rush, he hadn't noticed that something was different about the girl. Her mask was gone. He looked at the familiar face in utter astonishment.)
Widow: I think so. Why are you looking at me like that?
Sonic: A-a-Amy?
Widow: What?
Sonic: Amy it's me! Sonic!
(Widow just looked at him in a confused daze.)
Widow: Amy? I think you made a mistake. My names Widow.
Sonic: Oh I'm sorry.
(His face quickly turned red and he turned his head away from Widow.)
Sonic: Sorry, my mistake. It's just that you look a lot like this girl I knew.
Widow: Wait, what?
(She felt her face for her mask.)
Widow: Oh, well thats great. The boss is gonna be mad at me for loosing another one. But as long as Eggman didn't notice I guess it's okay.

Page: 18:
(Eggman stared at the rubble from his former lab. A robot appeared at his side with a video and a mask.)
Robot: Doctor Eggman, I've done as you have asked and downloaded the security camera footage of the girl, and the workers found this.
(It handed Eggman the mask.)
Eggman: Very good. Start relaying the tape.
(The Robot did as he was asked.)
Eggman: I can create a tracking device with the DNA i find on this mask. That little thief is gonna be really sorry for destroying my home AND making off with the Chaos Emerald. Wait! Go back 5.3 seconds.
(The image on the screen displayed Sonic holding the girl without her mask)
Eggman: Enhance the image. Well, finding this girl will be easier than originally planned, now that we know what she looks like.

Page 19:
Sonic: Why do you ware a mask anyways?
(She gave Sonic a blunt look and said)
Widow: Sorry Speedy. That's classified.
Sonic: And the reason you were even at Eggman's base is
Widow: Also classified.
Sonic: Well you're just full of mystery aren't you. By the way, my name's Sonic, Sonic The Hedgehog. And I'm probably the fastest thing you'll ever see!
(He said it with such certainty that Widow just had to prove him wrong. She rolled her eyes, got close to his face and softly spoke)
Widow: Are you sure about that?
Sonic: Of coarse I am.
Widow: Then how about a little match?
(Sonic always ready for a challenge smiled)
Sonic: Alright first one to the end of the forest wins?
Widow :sounds good to me.

Page 20:
(They both shot each other sly smiles and the count down began.)
Sonic: 3
Widow: 2
Sonic: 1
Both: Go!
(They both took off with a whirlwind of speed. Sonic was baffled at the thought that a girl could keep up with him. They were neck and neck with Sonic gaining ground fast but Widow was determined not to lose. They wove their way through the forest so gracefully, careful not to hit a single twig that it almost looked as if they were dancing. Moving in and out of each others paths, slowly intertwining with one another. They each looked into the others eyes with the fire of determination glowing brightly within them. Sonic felt a guilty pleasure in this contest of speed, for he had finally found someone that could rival his own speed. Even though the two hedgehogs were going faster than sound, the world suddenly seemed to slow down for Sonic. He watched the light dance off Widow's quills and her smile filled his heart with warmth. He found his red checks returning at the beauty of the scene.)
Sonic thinks: It's remarkable how much she looks like Amy, they could very easily be sisters if Amy wasn't an only child. I wonder what shes been doing for all these years, and why she hasn't come back yet. I never thought I'd say this but i miss her clinging to me all the time. I've gotta go find her.

Page 21:
(Widow couldn't shake the feeling of knowing this hedgehog from somewhere.)
Widow thinks: Both his speed and strength are breathtaking. Maybe he's the one that can help me. But first things first, I've got to find out what he's really capable of.
(Widow took the lead and was out of Sonic's sight within seconds. Stunned, Sonic sped up and was at her side once again. He got in front of her and started running backwards.  He have her a smile that fueled her determination to put Sonic in his place.)
Widow: Do you always show off like this?
Sonic: Hmm... No. I just like halving fun.
Widow: ...
(Sonic fell into step beside her)
Sonic: What's the matter? Aren't you having fun?
(Widow stayed silent.)
Sonic: Hmm...
(Sonic sunk low to the ground and tripped Widow with a spin kick.)
Widow: What was that for?!
(Sonic gave her a wink)
Sonic: Ketch me if you can!
(Widow sprung to her feet and ran to catch Sonic. She was at his heels when he came to a stop. Widow smashed into the back of him and Sonic turned to her and gave her a big grin. Widow felt her heart skip a beat at his smile and quickly looked away.)
Sonic: Looks like I won.
Widow: Huh?
Sonic: Were out of the forest so I guess this means I won.

Page 22:
Widow: You cheater!
Sonic: Haha! I wouldn't call it cheating. It's more like strategic planing.
(He helped her to her feet.)
Sonic: Still, you have some amazing speed there. I'd like to do this again some time.
Widow: Maybe.
Sonic: Well I guess I'll see you around.
Widow: Hold up there Speedy. How's about a deal? You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.
Sonic: What did ya have in mind?
Widow: I'll help you find your girlfriend,
(Sonic blushed and said)
Sonic: She's not my girlfriend!
(Widow ignored him and continued)
Widow: if you help me find the other 6 of these.
(She pulled out the Blue Chaos Emerald from her pocket.)
Sonic: The Chaos Emerald. I forgot all about it. But what do you want them for?
Widow: That's not part of the deal now is it? All I can tell you is that its crustal that I find all 7 before this time next year.
(Sonic was reluctant at first to help Widow, but remembering how she saved his life he figured he owed at least this much to her. Plus he would have someone to help him find Amy.)
Sonic: Alright Widow, it's a deal.
Widow: Okay. Meet me back here tomorrow at midnight, I think I already know the location of the next Chaos Emerald but I'll have to recheck my sources.
(Sonic nodded in agreement)
Widow: Alright, I'll see you then.
(Sonic went back to the other side of the forest and Widow started her way back towards G.U.N HQ.)

Page 23:
Sonic: Oh no! I forgot about Tails!
(He reached the clearing in a matter of seconds to see Tails waiting in the X-Tornado.)
Tails: What took you so long Sonic? I've been waiting for a while now.
Sonic: My bad Tails. I'll tell you everything once we get back to the others. This is something that I think everyone will want to hear.
Tails: Alright Sonic. But you better not leave out a single detail about what happened.
Sonic: Haha! You got it Buddie!

Page 24:
(Widow was in a hurry to get back to G.U.N. It had already been 3 hours past her deadline and she was already in for an ear full. But something stopped her. She felt like someone had been following her for some time now and without turning around she said)
Widow: What do you want, Scourge.
